We have to have cabbage and black eyed peas for luck cash and change. They say any greens will do but I had turnip greens once and it wasn't as good a year. I went back to old faithful and have been clocking along ever since.

Kraut and pork. Been a tradition of ours as long as I've been alive handed down from our elders.

Black eyed peas and hog jowl is tradition but we're having ham and purple hull peas, with fried okra on the side.

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Black-eyed peas and some kind of vile weeds. Collard greens, I believe. I choke them down to keep the peace...

We've been doing pork and sauerkraut as long as I can remember. Just finished having dinner with my parents a bit ago

I know a guy that has a old, I mean old coin that has been passed down through generations. He has had it a while now, they through it in the kettle of pork and sauerkraut for good health and prosperity. That's cool to me.
