We have to have cabbage and black eyed peas for luck cash and change. They say any greens will do but I had turnip greens once and it wasn't as good a year. I went back to old faithful and have been clocking along ever since.

Idk, the last 2-3 years I had cabbage and black eyed peas was very tough years.

Black eyed peas and hog jowl is tradition but we're having ham and purple hull peas, with fried okra on the side.

I know a guy that has a old, I mean old coin that has been passed down through generations. He has had it a while now, they through it in the kettle of pork and sauerkraut for good health and prosperity. That's cool to me.

What’s with this pork and kraut stuff ?....No tradition here...but I did make a meat loaf and roasted Brussel sprouts and baked tater.
