I saw a program on PBS on the origins of Bluegrass/country music. One scene showed showed a 30's era radio station/recording studio with what looked like that device in the recording studio. I was hoping to get a repost of the item.
FWIW: Radio WLS in Chicago was founded by Sears/Roebuck, and the call sign stands for "Worlds Largest Store".
