330 that 86 pound beaver took 1st place for the largest beaver at the winter meeting a few years ago.It had spent 2 years in the freezer before I entered it ,so it lost several pounds and was just under 80 pounds at the meeting.

My first wolf. Snared. Day after Christmas 2019. First year trapping in Idaho. Thanks to all of my "teachers" for giving me advise and encouragement. And my first red fox a week before that. A dream come true on both accounts.

Walked up on a muskrat float I’d tied off to overhanging tree branch and this thing was bent way down like a fishing pole. I thought I’d caught new Boone&Crockett record muskrat...nice big beaver in 1.5 longspring!

Mine was my first red fox. I was just a young lad of 12, learning how to trap. I had previously trapped some muskrats and I decided to aim for the big leagues, and bigger money, (the year was 1969) and set for raccoons. Ah ha!
I spotted raccoon tracks on a golf course sand trap that was across from our home on Lake Fenton in Michigan. I was on 'em! I lured it up with some goo of some sort and...

The next morning I had a red fox!
Only problem was....
I had him back footed in the trap -
Plus....
he dug up that sand trap in a monstrous way and he had dug out a good little portion of the golf "green" because the sand trap lay adjacent to it!!!!

You want to see a 12 year old kid dance with a red, - time again and missing, because he's always also looking towards the club house to make sure nobody is coming his way.
Thankfully golf was not in session.

Do you see why we all wear camo grin
The good old days.

First cat around 1990. Trapping buddy and I got him in a cubbie set with a 220. It was very rare at that time to see one. Kings for a day!!

I caught 2 beaver in a single MB 750... at the same time...they each had one rear foot in the trap....unbelievable ! ...but true.

Would be a toss up between my first coyote several years ago and first targeted otter this year.
