It appears the eyes on both the cow and calf are light colored. Kind of different looking. Most of mine are dark and I have one that is more of a hazel eyed color but yours almost look light blue That cows R.eye has damage from pink eye 3 seasons back I never looked at their eye Color though. ....After weaning this calf , Im most likely culling the cow. She Stuck late and the pink skin pigment around the eye ( from the Hereford in her) bothers me.

I think the face pattern on calf is called bronco faced with dark skin around the eyes. I am not sure if true or not but I have heard they are more pink eye resistant than cows with light skin around eyes. I've been told that several times.... Dont know if its true... but I can only keep 8 Ma cows with the pasture s Ive got. All my other cows have blk.pigment. Culling is hard... but breeding Up is necessary This is our Bull/ mottled-face is what I call it.
