First year trapping for coyotes, just running a small line of 18 traps right now. Been a long season, learning hard lessons as I go, but finally cashed in on my first coyotes in a foothold. Male on the left was caught in a dirt clump set and the female on the right, a pipe dream set. Thanks to all of you on the forum for passing on your hard earned knowledge.

A double on your first catch! You lucky stiff! I've trapped dozens of coyotes and still never connected on a double.

Good job! Nice looking animals, too. Every year is a learning experience. It'll just keep getting easier the more you recognize and learn from your mistakes.

Bound by everlasting bands?
None shall take thee
From the Strength of Israel's hands.

Congrats I got my first double last year after catching dozens of singles. I've learnt now if it's good enough spot for one trap thwn it's good enough for two. Nice looking coyotes too
