I think the public outcry if there were no felonies charged would've been ugly.

I've seen good people have knucklehead kids and knucklehead parents have good kids. Truth is, once you reach a certain age, your knucklehead friends have more of an influence on you than your parents do.

I see most of these charges as having terrible unintended consequences on the future of trapping.

Not as bad as I could be, not as good as I should be.

Just one of many things that could lead to that, not a medical opinion it was a little tongue and cheek really.

If you guys haven't been following things, even threads on here and not see the pattern, then I am at a loss. Harley nailed it, They are ruining the lives of young people, making them felons over a deer. Do I agree and condone what they did, heck no. I will say this, they needed taken behind the woodshed and been left bloodied up but not made felons. Hunting, Trapping, Fishing and the like are under fire, higher fines and jail time, make'em felons so they can't own a gun is one of the goals.

We have now set a precedent where wild game is now categorized (as far as animal cruelty laws) the same as domestic animals. Think about where that can lead, how the anti's will try to use that. The anti's have just forced Bristol- Meyers to end near drowning test on rats, you drown anything? See where I'm going here?
