Not good at all.Possible changes to ifw policy could effect coyote management in a negative way.IFW is holding listening sessions around the state to get feedback on how to best manage furbearers, including coyotes. The antis will undoubtedly be listened to by the state of Maine including ideas such as shortening the coyote hunting season to match fox, banning dog hunting, restricting or banning coyote contests, and changing or eliminating the department's coyote management program in the north.

I hate Maine more and more every day.I have said this is going to happen since last year.Maine bows down to these idiots.Maine has become a liberal state.Maine and Mass are now the only 2 states left that don't allow some sort of Sunday hunting as well.Maine is sure not what it used to be.

Maine DIF&W surely is clueless when it comes to managing furbearers. We've had a new lead biologist for how many consecutive years now?

State of Maine won't pass sunday hunting due to the landowners in southern Maine saying they don't want sunday hunting unless a person gets written permission to go on all private land both posted and unposted.I live in the state of Maine where I can't go hunting on sunday but can get drunk or high on weed.It is now legal for more people to perform abortions killing babies but we outlaw plastic grocery bags insteed. This state is going down the toilet fast and it's only going to get worse.

There's much worse pride parades in Maine then that one.

You are losing your State one bit at a time.

It ain't the same Maine we grew up in, Bruce. Mills is going to do as much damage as she can while has the chance. Turn your attention toward Betsy Sweet who is trying unseat Collins. These people are rabid and have you and me in their sights.

Most of my hunting and trapping will very soon be out of state.

To all you Mainiacs: I feel your pain, But don't quit, you still have something worth fighting for. Rural Maine is unique and you Mainiacs seem to like that just fine.

Not if we can't go anywhere to hunt, fish, and trap.If the state outlaws hunting on unlisted land that will be the final nail in the coffin. It won't be worth living up here with no public land as the paper land is also private land.No more chasing big bucks on the snow.No more hunting with any type of hounds. No more walking miles and miles of trout streams.I would be out of here where there's lots of public land to hunt..

I just don't think it's fair that a heavy portion of our population is in Southern Maine which is coincidentally northern Massachusetts with just as many A-holes who know nothing about the outdoors but have a voice. Due to their sheer numbers they often get what they want despite the real Mainers knowing what's best. If you look atNorthern Maine you see the real Maine and our way of life. Go south of Waterville and you start to see the LL Bean catalog Mainers. Makes me sick.
