Well, things have been interesting the last few days. The officer in question has quit. But I also got a written warning for being too harsh (not sympathetic enough). My supervisor got a ear full from me and stormed out of their own office. My big boss approved the write up. And after calling him we both understand each other a lot better. His words to me, calm down, bring it down a notch and relax your not in the military anymore. This is coming from someone who has never served. Tension is high to say the least. I have several options at this point.
1)Step down from supervisor and become a regular officer
2) Go reserves and make my own schedule
3) Retire early ( my wife is on board with this one) and be at home at night( have worked 12 hour night shifts for years)
4) Go full time ADC ( I have operated for years while still working at nights) and build my business, and be at home with my wife and dogs and feel normal again.

Also, I leaning towards option 4 . My wife's health isn't the greatest and I'm have a few issues from working all these years at night. I can supplement my retirement with ADC jobs and other interests. My only major concern is health insurance. Everything comes to an end. Maybe this the sign I needed. Sarge

I took early retirement.My advice to anyone that can swing it financially is to definitely take the early retirement.You only have so many good years left after 50 to do what you want to do on your own time.
You need to be stress free when you retire.

I retired early and have never looked back!! You are on the down hill slope of life. Enjoy it with your wife and dog. You can always work when there is nothing else to do. JMO
