Due to some type of bail reform policy in New York, a criminal who robbed 4 banks within two weeks was freed without bail. He was quoted as saying when freed I can’t believe they let me out. Apparently, he just showed a note in all the robberies and not a gun. New York now can’t keep a person in jail or require bail for non-violent crimes and robbing a bank without a weapon is considered a non-violent crime. After his release, he robbed a 5th bank and If caught for this 5th robbery, he will have to be immediately released without bail since he used a note again. No judge is now allowed to set bail. A person that is arrested for a non-violent crime is supposed to give his/her word they will show up for trial. This country is getting more insane (my opinion).

The worst part is that in New York, if someone stopped him from robbing a bank with there gun, without a ton of paperwork, an excessively long wait and hard to get permit, they would stay in jail.

Here in Columbus anyone now caught with under a pound of marijuana is considered a misdemeanor. Also due to the lack of minority police officers. The city of Columbus is going to allow lower test scores to allow the minority officers a better chance. Bank robbers let go wouldn't surprise me at all. Sanctuary cities. Al liberal crap.
