I’d be willing to bet it’s a badger. There are a lot more then people think. If your anywhere near the Sheboygan to Green Bay Area there are plenty.

A digger's front foot, with its big nails, shouldn't look like a rounded k-9 print like a fox. Badgers also walk sort of pigeon toed compared to a fox. It would be cool if it was a badger but I wouldn't hold my breath. What's a flattie doing in the woods anyway...?

If It was a badger then it won't be back because It either got what was there or there wasn't anything there. Nothing more NATURAL then a big hole dug by some critter.
