Just seems right up " Wolfdog's " street. Obviously, any input appreciated though.

I'm building a vertical drop door trap. Okay? It's for birds (I'm licensed) and is a time proven, basic, design. (What we call a " Potter " Trap)

Only, the runners the door slides down on are normally round. In this case ~ due to what I have, don't have available, and so forth ~ I'm going with galvanised straps. Like this:

Just to ask: Any thoughts on the bits that'll form the door slides, please? On a 'normal' trap, we'd use round wire for the uprights. Then, round, horizontal, loops of wire would carry the door up and down those uprights. One to each corner of the door.

How about on these 'rectangular' uprights? Round, or make the loops rectangular?

I'm seriously considering waxing the parts too. Help the slide. Certainly won't effect the birds in any way.

Thanks.
