Anyone have any recommendations on gloves for trapping? I'm new to trapping and worried about scent. I'm also in NY where it gets fairly cold. Thx!

if you are water trapping - neoprene or waterproof gloves, land trapping - deerskin or thin leather that fit your hands - do not overcomplicate the issue

I generally never wear glove other than to protect my hands from sharp metal, briars and thorns and the freezing cold water and ice - I do not worry about my scent - ever

I should add - probably my favorite gloves for everything are the thin cloth with latex palms and fingers for grip. I use them soaking wet for water sets or dry for land - they stink, shrink, stick, and I dry them out with defroster on dashboard and have a few sets of them in my truck - take them in at night and let the dry - they offer enough protection but I do not lose dexterity.
