some hives have 3 or 4 medium supers still on them.....have not pulled any yet. Need to soon to make room for a fall flow - I like the goldenrod, aster fall honey even though it doesnt smell the best when they are bringing it in blush

Matt what size are your 14 frames you pulled? Your harvest seems awful good for that few of frames. A serrated bread knife works really good and quick to uncap with, and a small uncapping scratcher for the little areas you miss with. Course we are only doing a few hundred frames by hand so no need for anything bigger yet. We do have a capping tray to let all the honey drain from cappings.

I pulled 175 pounds off my hives this year. Sold the last bottle today...3 days to sell every ounce at a decent price. Bee Keepers dilemma - want more honey but not the work that comes with more hives

I run all deeps and 9 frames in the top box. Some of what I extracted I pull out of the second brood box.

My parents (north Texas) have a hive in their barn and they don't want to kill them, but I'm not sure how to successfully move a hive. A couple years ago they ripped out the hive and sealed up the site, but they came back. Can I get a box and frames and transplant them, or will they just try to go back in the barn? I keep hearing that bees are disappearing, so if I can start a box, I'd prefer that. If anyone has any helpful information, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks y'all.

I'll buy at those prices all day long. I'll mark it up as I sell mine 10/lb.

I don't know what it sells for here but a rancher brought me a fresh 5lb jar today as a thank you for trapping coyotes on their place. This time of year we eat a lot of honey on buttered biscuits and homemade bread.

We had a really nice day on Tuesday. I did a hive inspection on my hives. All was well and they are hitting the sugar stores really good.
Iím in a bee club that met on Monday night. One of the members is a commercial keeper and said he started putting pollen into his hives. I had a bunch of pollen patties I made a while back and dropped in a half patty into each hive.
Itís kind of risky getting pollen in the hives right now here where I live. We are having such a mild winter that I decided I would jump start my bees.

If you try to cut them out I would make sure they aren't Africanized being your down in Texas.
