Is this a southern term Or a African American term for skinned? I always thought only blacks said skint but I noticed a few southern people who I Picture white say skint? Just curious. Is it like the term aksed or asked

Don't in hills of southern Ohio and West Virginia I use to hear it all of the time.\\

We said skint in western NY when I was a kid. So I think it's more rural than southern.
"I caught 2 coon today!"
"Didya skinnum?"
"yes, they're skint."
Also: Creek is pronounced "crick"
"I caught 'em down at the little crick!"

Creek is the sound rusty door hinges make. Nope, that's creak. Creek is a small moving body of water, which some people call cricks. Isn't english, and especially regional dialects, interesting?

Have only ever heard the Skint Thang :-) from southern folks. Here in WI I have heard and used the word Skun.. As in we got them all Skun out.
