I always thought only blacks said skint but I noticed a few southern people who I
Picture white say skint? Just curious. Is it like the term aksed or asked

I grew up in the UP and in my house skunt was the same as skinned.

We said skint in western NY when I was a kid. So I think it's more rural than southern.

"I caught 2 coon today!"

"Didya skinnum?"

"yes, they're skint."

Also: Creek is pronounced "crick"

"I caught 'em down at the little crick!"

Have only ever heard the Skint Thang :-) from southern folks. Here in WI I have heard and used the word Skun.. As in we got them all Skun out.
