Love the tradition Make it a couple times a year. Although mine is just booyah because We use beef and pork at times. We make it over the Fire In a cast iron kettle in the summer and a burning barrel In the winter. It’s good stuff.

Well it’s like a big pot of soup/stew with a ton of vegetables and A lot of meat all cooked in a big pot usually in large amounts for party’s. We usually do it along side a pig or corn roast.
I usually do beef, pork, chicken, carrots, onion, potatoes, corn, beans, Cabbage, lettuce, pease. Chicken stock, beef stock, lots of butter and V-8 juice.

this may help some to understand what it is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Booyah_(stew) and a recipe https://www.afarmgirlsdabbles.com/booyah-soup-recipe/it is prominently a Belgium thing , we never did it but a coworker is from De Pere pronounced Da Pier being of a Danish and Icelandic family we just boiled fish , red potatoes and white onions for party food , a Fish Boil but I would like to do a Booyah some time. I make stews similar all the time , one of those huge pots would be awesome hours of drinking bear tending the fire and eating stew
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
