Just curious. it seems like classical music lovers get fewer every year. It seems easier to get tickets to the symphony but every year I see fewer younger people. Though I always see some which is a good thing.

Classical music is what initially got me to listening to NPR. Living on Earth keeps me going back.

Nope. Pittsburgh Symphony, one of the best in the country if not the world. I am blessed to be so close to it. The wife and I try to catch a few a year.

I like most music except most country and all hip hop/rap or whatever that is called now.
Pink Floyd, Neil Young, Tom Petty, and Dave Mathews and the like are what I listen to most of the time, But when I'm working on a project, or have tired of the talk radio guys, I often turn on some classical music.

I used to listen to it when I was working on furs. My youngest son always called it "beaver skinning music" cause he'd often hang around when I was putting them up......I wonder what his girlfriend or college buddies would think if they heard him refer to it that way now?

Nope. I truly like it but then again I like various forms of music. I have wide spread taste. Everything from Mozart to Led Zeppelin to Ozzy to mommas and pappas to the Grateful Dead (used to be a deadhead back in the day just for info)

Love classical , the symphony orchestras. So fun to dress to the hilt and enjoy an evening of fine classical symphony and dinner after.

Two young men from Croatia who are lifelong friends and both are cellists , have been re defining classical music into amazing varied styles. They are among the best cellists in the world, tour worldwide and are invited to play in the top orchestras worldwide as well.

Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser are just astounding in taking the cello to heights previously unknown , resulting in an explosion of interest in classical music from younger generations .

Someday I would love to attend one of their tour events.

Yes, Sharon, those two guys are terrific. Their you tube videos are often filmed in their native Croatia as well. Check out Chariots of Fire and Moon River by them.

I don’t mind it however I don’t listen to it very often, I like this one for a crossover type of music.

Well, actually a little better than I expected. I would suggest those that haven't, maybe give it a try. It has been around for century's, there must a little something to it.
