This is why after 99% percent of my post you will see a blub about Voting, I hope it helps in some small way, NOT just in VA. but all over the U.S.

Boco, here in America we fought a war to shake off tyrannical English rule. And we kicked their butt. Do you really think our founding father's would be dumb enough to give all the power to one person again? Or even to one federal government? Oh there were a few British-lite Americans that wanted to.... they were called Federalists. But, in the final drafting of our Constitution, the Anti-Federalists won out. On all issues except for a few clearly written exceptions, the states have control. That's why you can have states with great trapping laws, and states with horrible trapping laws.. You can move to whichever one you like best. But it's also why we can't have something like your stupid AIHTS agreement shoved down our throats. The US government literally couldn't agree to it, because they don't make the trapping laws, the states do. Signing into and trying to enforce something like that would be unconstitutional. So you can keep your queen, and I'll keep my 10th Amendment.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Several states have tried similar gun regulating laws in the past. It may take years, but most end up in Supreme Court for a final decision. And most if not all get declared illegal and are removed.
But as mentioned, if you like the outdoors, and especially firearms related activities, you better be voting Republican every time. There are no Democrat groups that would like you to keep your gun. Yes, we all know that CRIMINALS are the problem, but they overlook that fact.

This is a bit off topic but Yotetrapper brought it up so I need to correct the inaccuracies that seem to be common on here when it comes to all things Canada.Your a bit mixed up yotetrapper. The provinces regulate trapping and hunting here not the feds.
And the humane trapping standards were drafted by the trappers in Canada long before the Europeans signed on.
We were in compliance on a provincial level long before any agreement was signed with Europe and Russia..The Europeans are still having difficulties trying to catch up to Canadas humane trapping standards.Trapping laws are enacted and enforced by the provinces. That is why places like southern Ontario have similar restrictive trapping regs like you(because of dense population of people) and places that are remote like Northern Ont have hardly no restrictions.

Great to hear, Catch! It takes a big man to eat his words. (A bigger man than me, most of the time. I can be too prideful, it seems.)
If this goes unchallenged in Virginia, it will spread across the Country like a fire in a mismanaged California forest.

Thanks guys, I truly appreciate that. I'm sitting here wondering what we can do from so far away. Maybe someone could post all the Reps and Senators office phone numbers and email addresses from Virginia so we could politely let them know it's not just a Virginia thing, we're all in this together. Mailers, heck I don't know, just spitballing for ideas to help.

The news is saying there might be White supremacists fomenting violence.
Is that just an excuse or is there an element of that trying to take advantage of a legitimate protest?

I'd say yes

Difference is that the commie in charge will use one crazy act to start a war with otherwise law-abiding citizens. And it's his fault everyone is protesting anyway!
