Miss Sharon did a beautiful buck a couple years ago--Mr.Magnuson i believe. From the first minute i saw it my thoughts were"if i ever shoot a dandy i have to do something similar."--it was stunning.well i shot a 20" 11 point this year and am to this point.maybe if i'm lucky--Miss Sharon will bless you and i of the king that resides in her home. Beautifully done! That's an excellent mount and a really nice buck. Congrats man!

Keep your boots dry and your powder too.

I remember when a fur check was reality.....now I'm just trapping for the love of it.

Best Regards,

JT

Pcr2 -just now saw your post!

What a dandy you captured ! Well done.

Yes, my Magnusson was my all time great to date-besides Atlas, whom I shot a couple years later, and also had made into a Euro mount.

If you want to- try this- get a small light bulb, insert it into the lower head cavity- and it will glow in ivory carved beauty at night as a night light too.

I didn't do anything to the skull . My taxi man in Idaho had it beetle chewed to perfection. The small light bulb just glows the beauty of the intricacies of the skull from the inside out. So it is enjoyed night and day.

Isn't Eruo mounting wonderful ? ! So clean and beautiful .

You did well .

Antler art to enjoy as well as lots of meat. Best of both worlds. You can enjoy the artistic beauty of antlers forever , long after the meat is consumed.

For myself, I am entitled to enjoy both.

I cant imagine such a powerhouse as my Magnusson just dropping in the woods somewhere, with all his life lived in testimony as an amazing individual, only to have some dumb porcupine stumble upon him and chew up his antlers. smile

Your buck is just grand.
