The #4 jump was an ok trap if set in the right place. I liked using them in the kick off bowl at the den entrance for square shy nuisance beaver.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

I'm with BruceT. Have a little over 100 of them now. I've caught and held beaver by the nose, chest, tail, and castor with them.

My go to under the ice foothold traps for beaver on a baited pole set.Did not even have to nail a platform for the trap.Just saw into the pole and tap the spring end into where you sawed.

been told more than once that I am "one short of a dozen". Just one Once ya get your dozen 330, you'll want a bakers dozen lol.
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....
