More details when we can breathe. Averages when my computer guy gets them for me. Top coyote was bought by American for 267 I believe. Over 2,200 coyotes, Ryan bought 1,700 of them or so. My personal coyote lot averaged $134. A lot of people averaged $140 s or $150 s for theirs. Cat market is tough. Top cat was bought by Wyoming Fur Trader for mid $800’s but a ton of no sales cats. Thanks to all buyers and volunteers. Rest time. Rough three days. Thanks Rusty

Yeah, went really well. Rusty and Co. did a great job of pulling it together. Lots of volunteer help kept things running smooth as well.

To the guys involved with this sale, or even guys selling fur, are people cherry-picking and bringing only their top coyotes to get these kinds of averages? I mean, I've got some high dollar coyotes, but also some probably 30-40-50 dollar coyotes. Do guys sell the less desirables to the local buyer and bring the best to the big sales? Thank you in advance for any information...may be attending this sale next season. Feel free to discuss this in PM.

I think most if not all brought whatever they had. That's what I always do. I helped check in most of the fur and saw just about every grade of coyote you could imagine. Some of mine were pretty poor too.

That's crazy to see averages like that...that is awesome. Hope this market holds.

"Cat market is tough. Top cat was bought by Wyoming Fur Trader for mid $800’s but a ton of no sales cats."

Uh-oh! Hopefully the buyers showed up with only coyotes on their mind and some of the other upcoming western sales will be a little better for cats...?!

Over paying for B cats would be the biggest issue on the “ego” deals
But as you know there’s plenty to the story on cats

Well looks like you were underpaying on coyotes this year. Should make money.

Is he under paying, or is there an ego coyote trip starting? I can not see how they went up that much from an all time high. I spoke to a pretty big buyer that said there were going to be buyers that could not find a home for their coyotes at the levels they are paying. Maybe he is wrong, but I would bet he is talking to the end user.

Petska only advertised, if I remember right ,$90-$100 TOPS on Heavies. It would appear from the Idaho and North Dakota sales, buyers at the same level of the food chain are paying maybe $120 Average for we will say heavies?

I averaged slightly over $100 on my coyotes back in the late 1970's. New half ton 4x4 pick-up was $7000. Coyotes today should be averaging $4-500, figuring the price of inflation today. No one is getting rich selling fur now, even with these numbers that seem good. At lease, not the producers. Still, good to see the advacments in coyote. Hope mine do well. Averaged over $110 last year and they look better quality this year.
