I have trapped coyotes for 5 years now and today reached my goal of 15. My grandfather was a trapper as was my dad but he quit many years ago. I basically have been self taught via this site and appreciate the info. I have caught 15 two years ago off of multiple sites but not on the same farm. We have roughly 140 acres and I have exclusively trapped that this year and after a double on Friday and today have reached my goal. I just wanted to thank everyone on here as I have learned a ton from this site. This year I have caught more than half of those on flat sets and 4 on snares. All of which I’ve I have had little luck in the past. I have been amazed by the number of coyotes off this property as I have taken now over 60 the last few years. I can honestly say the rabbit population has increased as well as my deer. I still have a few weeks to go and hopefully can beat my record. I also put up my own fur and thank all the pointers I have learned especially the ball peen hammer trick from beav. It’s a life saver.
