It won’t be long before they have contact with him again besides the sermon I missed this morning was all about forgiving. Nothing stolen yet and no damage other than a five foot long rut to fill in. All is forgiven far as I’m concerned

Meh , this is not bad , condolences to those with a snowfall of 1' to 2' . It's a PIA for sure. But could be worse. I've lived through this : https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northeastern_United_States_blizzard_of_1978We got almost 4' in a 24 hour period. Our governor at the time , Ella Grasso shut down the state for 3 days , no traffic on the roads at all. Once you have lived through something like this , you learn to rely on yourself instead of relying on the government. They just don't have enough resources. This was long way before 'preppers' was a thing. If you live in the snow belt , you need to be prepared. Have food , fuel for heat (especially if the power goes out) I have multiple sources of heat for when the power going out , you need to survive. Ya learn through tough times. Just like my ancestors learned from the depression , don't rely on the government for help.

We got about 6" where I live. But, the blowing and drifting made it seem like a lot more.
The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never let the dumbest ones lead the pack.

It's not the snow that is the problem as it was 5 inches of powder. It is always the wind at 60 mph gusts, and we were 20 below for 2 nights and below zero in the days, for ground blizzards. All the rich farmers here leave nothing on the fields, so my 5 inches is 10 inches blowed in, and it packs in like concrete. Had a calf die, a chicken die and a cat die, even with shelter, but that is the toll. The turkeys and pheasants will be melting out in those that died in the storm.
My entertainment was watching the lumber guy driving around to his parents house, with a brand new pickup and blade. He had more trouble keeping it on the road with that front loaded weight than he should have. Also I heard this Indy race car VAROOM on the road as this blizzard was going on, and figured some idiot got stuck. Walked out to the corner today and some dolt had plowed a 40 foot trail in 3 feet of snow in the ditch. Someone pulled them out, but the intelligence of people is in question in driving that fast on ice in a storm on back roads, and then hung up in concrete snow, gunning an engine to almost blowing it up. As I drive old things, I enjoy watching 40,000 vehicles being destroyed by their retard owners.
