Canada Goose has commissioned 18 Inuit seamstresses to make 5 identical parkas each in 5 different sizes, for a total of 90. Price is $2500 each with proceeds to go to the Inuits. Absolutely beautiful workmanship. Even at that price they will go fast. They will be for sale starting Jan. 23, with sales online only. Wish I could figure out how to post the link. Just google it. If I only had the funds.

My country fur buyer had a fisher collar put on his Saturday night on the town carhartt.

Don't look very Inuit to me. I hope those gals got paid well for their work. I am guessing they all have machines

Nice to see CG supporting the FN artisans.

I wonder what the cost will be on them, great way to produce traditional fur and the natives that crafted them.

I see a few CG parkas walking around here from time to time. They use real nice coyote on the trim...way nicer than the dirty red Southeastern Nebraska ones I catch for sure.
I'm guessing my coyotes end up on the Wally world parkas.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Beautiful. I want one.

But be on the lookout for a new tactic: See this girl from Binghamton University's little school newspaper article : https://www.trappersreport.com/story/College-girl-writes-inadvertent-ANTI-piece

I'm concerned the ANTIs will be bringing in "shame." Goes like this:

1.) They know they can't stop fur and true-conservation.
2.) So they start accosting you on the street saying, "Ohhhhhhhhh excuse me Mr. Inuit, I didn't know you needed that."

I'm just saying, Goose is public. Goose has bosses.

Meaning: If they move away from fur, they can "Save face" by keeping a very tiny specialty-line to say not only are they still in-fur, but they're the top of the top of the line item.

Those look very nice. If you take out a couple business suits, sport coats and some trousers, I don't own $2500 worth of clothing.
Heck, I'm still wearing a pair of Woolrich bibs that I bought back in the 80's. They still fit but have seemed to have shrunk just a little bit.
