Bruce, thanks for posting all of those cool pictures! Here is my logic- If no one is stacking up the fisher and marten like they use to do, then there has got to be a lot of them out there. Why not pre bait to get them coming in and then use foot traps? Thanks for the kind words.Using footholds makes it tough as you then have a 24 hrs check. With the conibears I could set 3 separate lines and do a 3 day check, checking a line a day.

I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

AHHHH, your killing me Bruce. Those were certainly the good days. Fisher trapping was by far my favorite. A back pack with some wire, 220's, beaver and some lure and hiking through the woods. Havnt trapped them since the animal exclusion devices were introduced.I do know it seems female fisher are taking more of a beating not to mention the lynx kittens must be taking a beating with the explosion of fisher now. Good science!

Really cool pics Bruce, love it. I have always had a hankering to catch a marten. How rare is it to catch a mink in one of those sets? Pretty rare.About one every other year.
