IMO , that is very true. FCA , Chrysler, Jeep , Ram ,Dodge will cause you problems down the road. Fiat makes junk , always has. This is why all the Fiat dealers closed , good luck getting parts for your Fiat 500. Of note , Fiat used to sell cars for the U.S. domestic market years ago. The quality was poor then. They pulled out back then too.

I used to be a big Mopar guy years ago. Not anymore. Buy Japanese , best vehicles for the money.

Crager, I have been driving Rams since GM went to - in 1989. Have had several and no problems with putting close to 200k on each before trade. I know everyone drives jap rigs and mine with 395 hp get way better mileage. Drive what suits you.

We have a 2016 but not the Trailhawk. Really like it but went for this year or newer cause of the tranny problems they were said to have in the 14 and 15 models. Went to start it one time after changing the oil and all kinds of warnings came up about parking brake, 4x4 not in service, key fob not detected and I think some other things but cannot remember. Would not rev up when pushing on accelerator and when put in gear it made a horrible clunk that felt like it would fall off the car. Turns out the battery was low and needed replaced, once new one in all was well and no codes showed up. I just couldn't figure out with all those warning lights, why didn't it tell me THE BATTERY WAS LOW!! Too much technology in these new cars and I really don't like that. I had a 98 Cherokee that I loved and to me much better off road capability, with the plastic on this one up front I feel like just a matter of time before a drift of snow cracks it. My old 98 still running with over 300k but I gave it to my brother in law and he is still driving it. They will never make these new Cherokees like the old ones for sure. nice riding car and I wanted the T hawk but wife didn't like the price of them and we really don't need that. I drove a couple with the 4 cylinder and felt very sluggish so we got the v6. Plenty of power with that,

50,000 isnt miles.....200,000 isnt miles....over that is miles.
All foreign I"ve owned dont require any fixing until after 200,000....toyotas 300,000
I remember the days when 100,000 was miles and 150,000 most american vehicles died or needed major work....those days are gone. My state trucks(ford 150 4x4 died at 150,000

We just started looking so time will tell but so far looks wise its one we like, hertz car lot in billings has a bunch of them on the lot with 15,000 -18,000 on them . We are chevy people , but back in 1995 we got a grand Cherokee and had nothing but problems with it. In fact south dakota has a lemon law that helped us get out of that thing. That thing so just junk the driver's door even fell off of it with only 10,000 miles on it. But the new chevy blazers haven't been out long enough to know about yet. Thanks again everyone
