My grdson and I snipe with 17mach2 rifles.
We call with a territorial challenge to get a reply and stalk / snipe from there.
Hunting a open floor mature oakwood's.
We can often see 2-300yds
Binoculars /range finders / as much camo as laws allow.

I bought him a pup for Christmas from are currently ranked #1quirrel dog in Michigan
Owned by Melvin Averill. " ICEMAN"

That 14 yr old boy and his puppy are a huge part of my life.

That's awesome Dillrod. I started out squirrel hunting back in the 70's and the old man and me would compete with who got the most squirrels and later we would always shoot at a cigarette too. He bested me for the longest time, he always had two secret quarters in his pocket lol.

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

I like your squirrel call catch22 I'll try to make one. It has to work better than my wine cork & old vanilla glass bottle. Thanks Jim

Its hard to get a pup to hold still long.
First one is her daddy with Melvin and his handler.
The other two are her.
I picked the runt of the litter for 2 reasons.
#1 = To be honest with the breeder this puppy will never be competed , so left the others for competition hunters to pick.
#2 = I truly want a smaller dog that hunts reasonable close, The handlers desire a get gone see ya at the tree dog. Its a necessary trait in competition hunting. ! prefer my dogs to hunt with me and handle as needed.

This is the daddy ( Iceman )

My puppy at about 10 weeks old.
Hoping she is about half his size , Her mama was smaller also.

( Iceman's Frosted Cricket) we call her "Toot's"

Manage to catch her in the laundry room chewing on one of my belts, LOL

I use Black walnuts that the squirrels have already eaten the nut meats from.

What brand is the caller?

Keith

A poker chip and a nail. I like to slow walk down a forest road at sunrise and set, facing towards the sun, this will sky line them.
