I get befuddled sometimes when I have a good catch one day and the next I get nothing. I know there are still beavers there, but they stayed away from sets. I know I'll catch them next week.

I had these on Thursday, then on Friday I had nothing. It doesn't happen like that often, but when it does, I scratch my head.

When everybody lives in a one room house and half the family doesn't come home and in a few cases you may have witnessed their deaths you start feeling a little apprehensive about leaving the security of the house for a few days.

It only happens to me like this occasionally. Usually, the next day is good as long as there are beavers still there. I could see it if it was just at one site, but this is at 4 different sites.

Weather? Seems like a beaver loves a rainy night.

Ah, well everybody has a.bad day and it's still called trapping and not catching. I'm honored to know I'm in good company.

Wednesday night was a little cooler than Thursday night, but both were about the same.

It is a head scratcher being 4 different areas. Rising water Thursday, had two on Friday. Water falling last night, clearing and a zero catch. Same swamp though.

Just had this conversation with my partner the other day one day traps are full next few checks are slow

Once you get a little experience you will find this is a common occurrence.

Im glad I am not the only one that has a no fur day once in a while. Had somebody do me a favor and shoot a coyote in a trap for me. Found it this morning. One side blown plum out. Trap drag and coyote still there though. I caught a few more. Guess thats better than a no fur day but I sure dont need any more favors like that.

After a heavy rain do beaver allow overflow to relive pressure on a dam...or do they try to trap it all?

In my experience, it was more like one check, something, and the next five checks, nothing. lol

How many colonys did those beaver come from-they all look to be the same size.
Ok I see your post-4 different sites.
How many sets did you have at each site and what type of sets?
Did you do the remakes at the same location as the catch ?
