I believe that the dollar is American currency.  I have not heard or that custom in England or Germany.

I have not heard or that custom in England or Germany. Don't quote me on this, gents. But, I think it was a (older) english custom to cook a sixpenny piece into the xmass pudding? That would have been back in the day when a tanner was worth having though. And when Anyone still actually Made a xmass pud'. But, yeah; Maybe Minkers Moms idea is something similar?

Scube; You get made a Moderator on here and we can call ye " The Kraut with the Clout ". I called a German mod' friend that once, in a chat room. He went ballistic!  I'll never grace that position as I am a not born in America and that is probably a prerequisite for an elevated position like President and moderator on T man plus my political correctness gland has been kaput for decades.
