A couple years ago my brothers father in law had one at his farm in the barn same time of year. He lived 30 miles north of Valley City by HWY 1. They figure it crawled on a semi down south and jumped or fell off by his place since that highway is a busy truck route.

I don't see them making it through a winter here, although it's mid 20's right now..

We sit square in the middle of the Possum Belt here in Pa. They’re everywhere. In the fall of 2013, I caught 30 of them. The winter of 2013-2014 was severe here, deep snows and sub zero temps. The next fall I only caught one possum on the same line.

What do they eat with 3 to 5 feet of snow on the ground in the winter time?

One got in my garage once and was closed in for four days. Took refuge under our son’s car hood. Came out about six miles later when my son took his girlfriend home. While in my garage it chewed two window sills and destroyed the window screens. Pooped everywhere, and especially on the window sills.

A few that can get in a barn full of hay or straw or under a house may make it. I don't think they will live out on the prairie in the winter. 20-30 below is one thing, but when you add a 30-40 MPH wind to it, it gets sharp.

Looks like a UFC possum.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

If that one was around a week or two ago I bet it was loving this warm up. I can assure you that there are not a great number of them living in ND. It was shot about a mile or two from a Burlington Rail yard. Maybe it was a hobo possum.
