He lived 30 miles north of Valley City by HWY 1. They figure it crawled on a semi down south and jumped or fell off by his place since that highway is a busy truck route.

We sit square in the middle of the Possum Belt here in Pa. They’re everywhere. In the fall of 2013, I caught 30 of them. The winter of 2013-2014 was severe here, deep snows and sub zero temps. The next fall I only caught one possum on the same line.

Came out about six miles later when my son took his girlfriend home. While in my garage it chewed two window sills and destroyed the window screens. Pooped everywhere, and especially on the window sills.

I don't think they will live out on the prairie in the winter. 20-30 below is one thing, but when you add a 30-40 MPH wind to it, it gets sharp.
