Kopenhagen just cancelled its February sale and hopes to integrate the February offering with their April sale. At this time BOHICA might be appropriate if this corona business keeps up for all business including FHA March sale. We already missed out on a lot of Chinese New Year gift giving, if fur is an appropriate gift, or buying fur with gift money that is so common with the Chinese New Year.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong but I think Kopenhagen is the world's biggest fur auction.

I see you don't get it again. This is not going to help fur sales. If the retailer does not sell his garments he has no money to by your fur. If they are still in a travel ban the end user could by through a broker but a lot of them are Chinese. I am sure it will work out but it is a serious hiccup. LLL

if you are relying on money from fur to pay your bills ya need to look at what your doing.

i worked my whole life to get to the point fur could be my business only to have the last 4 yrs go like they have.i'd feel like a fool if i still had very many eggs at all in that basket now though.

Will this effect the FHA auction? I know It's a long ways away but this Virus could still be around and maybe getting worse.

Im not relying on it per say, but for it to go from a pittance to none/wait forever is a kick in the....

believe me,i know.i literally have paid my dues working in the industry for 30 yrs to learn what i needed to learn to be a buyer.then this.

i will say i'm thankful for the industry for those years as it paid a pile of bills and is why we are in the position we are in today.

This Coronavirus is going to hurt the fur market even further. (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman), it's already in critical condition, I worry about its future...

If you sell your fur now is the only way you are going to get hurt imo.
And the only market there is right now is coyotes.
Fur industry was already in bad trouble as far as markets.
So imo the virus is nothing more than a excuse to average down.
Just as the stock market was looking for a dip for investor to reinvest and it bounced back up sooner than they wouldv'e liked.

Interesting, that a contagious disease would be the next hurdle for the fur market.

Well it might be a good thing ,right now, IF it is as bad as they say and could get, i mean who would want to be around a bunch poping out half dryed fur with buthole hairs flying around everywhere. when they say it could be running its way through animals. just saying.
