I don’t think the kid had an attitude at all. But, I don’t think the officers did anything wrong either. But I think the kid happened to be black when being black wasn’t the right race to be. I used to have a black boss. He was the best guy in my department. Probably the nicest person I ever worked with. He told us how he was ‘profiled’ by police as he was driving home after work. Until he flipped out his federal credentials. Then he told us how the cop got all warm and fuzzy and couldn’t get away fast enough.

Cops have a tough job. Some have Rambo personalities but the majority are decent people doing a very tough job. I don’t envy them.

I think police do a very good job overall, considering they make over 10,000,000 arrests a year. Yes, that ten million.

You man are stoned, I couldn't even watch the whole thing. They violated his constitutional rights and his personal rights. You do not get to treat people like crap JUST because you have a badge and a paycheck from a govt entity. That was not only wrong, it was sickening...………..

I wouldn't want to live in a world without LE but in my opinion the job they do is ok at best. A lot of problems with the way law is enforced lies with the laws themselves and a lot lies with politicians idea of what takes precedence.

50 years ago the focus was on crime. You know the stuff with a victim. Today the focus is on collecting money. Either from fines or unpaid taxes or even just taking peoples cash and claiming its "drug interdiction".

I have encountered LE in a number of different states. Some of those encounters it was evident the officer was having a bad day. lol

Most notable was a deputy that stopped me for speeding though town. He was at the bottom of a hill. He lectured me on the speeding with school kids present, including a comment about “speeding going up hill.” I could have argued since he was at the bottom of the hill he was wrong about which way I was speeding. I said nothing. Perhaps he realized his foolishness once he got to his car or he took into account my driving record but he returned with a warning.

Another time I was in Jersey and left my rig in a strip mall parking lot and walked to a doughnut shop to ask directions about 11 o’clock at night. Making my way back to the truck 2 local officers pulled up behind me, I Turned and approached the car. Not thinking, I reached in my bomber jacket to retrieve my paperwork to ask if they knew the place I was looking for caused them to get a little tense. Luckily, they didn’t shoot me. lol

Apparently a white guy walking around “in the hood” 11o’clock at night is notable. lol

This concerns me. The current events has us retaining cash at home. The latest “red flag” debacle is an added element that could be very unfriendly for us.
