I would look on the trap shed and see what others are getting.

I’ll be honest. I’ve never heard of you. I don’t know if you’re a lure/bait maker, experienced in collecting glands, or someone who doesn’t have a clue about what they’re doing.

Go to the “User List” close to the top of this page. Find some people who list themselves as lure makers. Contact them and see what they think of what you have. They’ll give you genuine insights into whether they see your volume as having worth. If someone makes an offer, go for it.

I think most lure makers would rather buy fresh frozen un ground glands. It would be real had for them to know what they are getting and what are the odds of it being "fixed" at the point they would have?

I would take it to your local trapper's convention. Also look @ trapper's supply catalogs to get a rough idea of retail price.

It is ground glands with 1 pint of urine added per 2½ gal and then sodium benzoate was added after a light taint.

With the way they are there is no way for you to prove or buyer to see what quality you have.......a buyer would have to assume organs were ground up to extend volume....not that you would.....plus the level of taint.....might not meet his formulation specifications.....frozen intact is the safest way to buy and sell

Professional use would be limited due to so many variables of what and how it was developed. We get requests frequently for ground castor/oil sacs etc. glands of all kinds in many processed ways. Once you are set with formulas it is important to maintain product consistency. You need to handle your own ingredients in preparation, grinding, age etc.

Such glands may be purchased for use as a throw in item into a bait solution or a bait ingredient. For private use after testing. Professional use most would not be interested unless they know specifics beyond a doubt.

. Cleaned and prepared glands according to each formulators requirements would be the best way to save and sell/trade in the future.

How did you come across that amount of glands and not know what to do with them or know what they are worth? Very confusing without a back story just saying a lot is lacking to put the pieces together.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!
