Fresh is worth way more. The whiter they are the less they are worth.

I found a matched pair while fishing in Canada. They've been sitting on either side of our fireplace, like bookends, for the past 15 years.

This thread made me curious so I just wieghed them- one is 10lbs and the other is 10.5 pounds. Dark brown on one side and paler (sun bleached) on the other side. Probably layed there in the muskeg for one year, by the looks of it. Just a little bit of red squirrel chewing on the tip of one tine.

I've found a half-dozen whitetail sheds too, but I'm no shed hunter.

I am an antler dealer. I buy and sell thousands of LBs of moose antler. It sure beats fur buying. smile Most of the guys here hung up their traps and now shed hunt the winter, It pays more.

Here is a nice 50 lb set brought in. I have seen 30+ lbers singles before
