I remember a time some years back where someone posted, Are Possum Worth Anything?
Someone posted they were worth a million dollars if you caught a million of them.

About six years ago I brought 8 possums to a local auction and got 6.50 each for them. I was so happy that the following year I put up and sold 86 of them at the same auction, 1.50 average. Haven't put up any since.

There was a picture of a guy (Nick Beder?) floating around the internet with a pile of possums stacked like cord wood on the tailgate of a truck. I consider it to be a canine trapper's worst nightmare...

My question is; how do they get caught by all 4 feet sometimes? Or a front and a back, or by the tail?

Putting up grinners are easy and fast. Don't need to flesh hard or you pull the hair out. Good for beginners to start with them then graduate to coons.

The other feet are standing inside the jaws when the remaining foot steps on the trap pan.

Any egg eater gone is good for me. $15-20 average for me down here and all I have to do is pop and remove however many feet they have in the trap.

You must work for some deep pocket turkey and quail hunters...

Thanks for posting the pictures folks. Hern, looks like you have the ability to catch them with different body parts. I caught one one time while using a drag. The possum managed to take the trap and drag a ways and got hung up on an electric fence, that was a shocking experience.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Put up my last one years ago when all I got for them was a DIME each! I said then i'll never stick another knife in one and haven't so far.

Yes Nitty, I got the tee shirt to go with the book too, funny stuff from big outhouse feller.
