Yeah but air still gets trapped under the ice in either bubbles or pockets. That video I found was in Ancorage Alaska.Thats also how the ice fisherman I showed earlier could swim long distances under the ice by breathing that trapped air.

I am sure it IS Anchorage. It looks like McHugh Creek just south of town. Bring some of your ice fishing friends out here . I want to see them swim under the ice.

Is Anchorage in Alaska??? Dirt claims he lives in the armpit of Alaska and I figured that meant Anchorage. That what I considered it.

I have a bridge I want to sell ya Bruce What a hoot ! Funny video- I'm glad that spoof was laughed about in the comments below...so that kids see it is not for them to try. Yes folks do take a dip in winter ice water but in completely different ways. Even belugas and orcas know better not to get caught in closing leads with too long a distance to open water .... Speaking of overflow, I think of all those neat shots trappers like JR and AKnative have posted in their travels.

Waaaaaaaaay too neat. I've never taken the time to attach the snares to the bait pole. I'll bet that will work I'll take a compliment wherever I can get it. Think I should add another snare or two or go with it the way it is? This is a first for me.

If you use the green pole set up,(wire your snares to a green bait pole only) dont forget to run your safety wire from bottom to top of the pole before you wire on the snares.
