Praying you guys make up. I can remember a time when political views were closely held and rarely someone asked another how they voted. Social media has changed all that, and I don't know how to fix it other than I try not to have a political discussion with friends and family if I know they don't agree with me.

Man that made me laugh. I still have three sisters and they all fight dirty, they scare me lol.

My brother in law thinks he’s a Lib for some reason maybe he like the word he acts nothing like one, he watches CNN and believes everything we don’t talk politics and we get along fine. The few times he tried to go there I’d counter and the conversation ends, I know it really bothers his friends they are not as nice as I am. LOL

You will probably find over time that the rest of your family will likely NEVER change their conviction. Scientifically it has to do with a type of thought process and most people that vote Democrat usually don't change their mind.

I would tell them you're sorry and would like to make amends by donating $100 to whatever political candidate of their choice. You would ask that they do the same in return. It ends up being a four to one payoff in favor of trump! lol

Our politics in this country today is ruining lives because of the hate it has cultivated in so many.

It's no longer good enough to support the ideas of one side if the political spectrum, you must also hate anyone who does not share your views. The name calling and lying by our leaders has made far too many look at fellow Americans-even family members- as the enemy. It's bringing us down as a country and, for many, as individuals.

X2.........I'm married to one of them. The hilarious part is she voted for Trump so as to avoid any family conflicts..........her assumption being he had no chance at all, but didn't want any blame for what Hillary would do being put on her. Her objection to Trump is not the job he is doing.......it's personal. She just doesn't like the guy and nothing he does or or will ever do will change that.

So we don't talk politics much and especially so when in the company of her family. We get along fine as long as everyone is talking about anything but politics. We just don't go there.

With politics and a lot of other sensitive issues, it seems there are two sides to every coin. Always interesting to hear what the other side has to say. Sometimes it halfway makes sense.......and you can work with that. Other times.......it's loose screws and pure emotion. Can't work with that.
