Bring them in rolled up with a clean ender on each side! Seriously though, if they're just going to the bank they should take them. Or bring to coinstar and get an amazon gift card, plus I think coin star usually kicks out silvers. Just do this. Money does not have to be pristine to have its full value. Keith

Take them to someone advertising to by scrap silver and or old coins,,they can test them for purity and buy them for a discounted melt value,,,which is way more than a bank will give u,,,melt value on 1964 and before silver coins is $3.19 for a quarter at today’s silver price of $17.64 per ounce Thanks for the info, very helpful for me.

It is usually not a good idea to clean old coins, but if they are going to the bank won't hurt. Have you tried vinegar and baking soda? make it thin and let them soak over night. I tried one mixture suggested on the internet, vinegar & salt. Did nothing. I'll try the vinegar and baking soda overnight. See if that does anything.
