It looks pretty good, considering the current market conditions. I think having Trever present at the sale was a win win for every one who had some skin in that sale!

Wow, I hope some of you guys are getting more out your trapping, such as getting permission to hunt some farmer's land if you clear out some of their nuisance animals, than just what you're getting for the fur. Never thought I'd live long enough to see average put-up buck mink not even worth 2 muskrats. I wonder how much recreational trapping would continue if gas and diesel went a buck, buck fifty higher a gallon and these prices were the norm? But, to each their own...

We have to stop doing this or they won't post prices. I'm with you, but we don't live in Bizzarro world.

Yeah, the beav prices were interesting, sort of the same average no matter how they are presented. I suspect spring time beavs is the way to go, with full castor glands. I keep seeing beaverpeeler's trophy castors in my head. If the the state forks out the money again, maybe my April before/after work adventure will be collecting state bounty on coon/possum/skunk until I tap out my 59 critter max (if they keep that the same) and castor gathering. We'll see what happens...

My daughter and I had a great time, met some new people and talked with old friends. Prices were better than expected, though coon could have been better, we got $10-$11 on 3xl and 4xl and $6.50-$7 on 2xl. My daughter had 20 green opossums that a very nice buyer bought for $.25 a pelt so she didn't have to take them back home. Our yotes and otter did really well and we averaged $5.50 on rats. Saw a lot of well handled fur and a lot of poorly handled fur. The new format seemed to go smoothly , though I got writers cramp from all the tags and paper work. It was a good end to the season, can't wait for the convention in Sept.

You are correct Kyron. Good fur PROPERLY put up brought decent prices. Averages are just that, good stuff, regular stuff and junk. I've worked the sale the last four years or so counting and sizing fur and it's a pleasure when I get to yours and your daughters lot.

Can anyone report what a typical Indiana coyote, well put up, was selling for?

$92.50 as the top is an outstanding price for an Indiana coyote. My coyotes are nothing special but they are well put up and I would be disappointed if I only averaged $30 on coyotes.

What was a "decent price" for this sale on a properly put up and typical Indiana coyote?

Bound by everlasting bands?

From the Strength of Israel's hands.

A lot of coyotes sold for $40-60, but a lot sold for less that that pulling down the Ave.
Two sold for 92.50, one sold for 90, four sold for $80.00, there were 363 put up yotes in sale.

A big THANK YOU to everyone that sold fur, bought fur and helped make the sale go on. A lot of work goes into putting an event like this together and it is much appreciated!

My third year there in a row. It went real well. The new system is great and after the club dials it in, it will be even better! Not that I’m complaining! Of course we all wish prices were better, but I don’t get paid to hunt either. I trap because I still enjoy it and I still can. Great job ista! Thank you! I’ll be back next year
