What's the best product or method to clean wood floors? I've tried mopping with just got water, a Bona mop, diluted ammonia, and my current method is a diluted pine-sol. No matter what I use it seems to leave a film of some sort. I mop once a week, more if it needs it. I use a clean mop pad in each room so I'm not just smearing filth all over the place.

Granted, with five kids, its hard to keep any floor clean. But the upstairs floor only rarely gets mopped, since no one usually wears shoes up there. It's also a different wood. There's no film of any sort upstairs, it looks the same as it did the day I refinished it.

I'm convinced the film comes from the products I'm mopping with and not kid slime, since theres no film upstairs. Any ideas or better products?

I tried two different products. Murphy's oil soap did an okay job, but left several streaks.

Minwax makes a cleaner for wood floors , smells similar to Murphy's so presumably it's a similar product. It did a better job, but still left a slight film.

I didn't see any rejuvenate at all he hardware store, I'll look around for it and see how it does.
