Does anybody have any recommendations on a good place to buy chicken eggs to hatch. Not really sure of the breeds we are wanting yet. Thanks

On Ebay, any of the sellers with lots of sales and near perfect feedback are a pretty safe choice, except for the fact the eggs have to undergo shipping. If you can find eggs local to you, that you can pick up, they will likely hatch better. Craigslist is a decent place to look locally, but the sellers are not vetted. Float test the eggs when you get them to make sure they are not old or damaged.

I had very poor luck ordering on ebay I got smelly boxes of scrambled eggs twice. and only one hatched out of two shipments. I did get shipped quail eggs from ebay that hatched pretty good.
I ordered from Meyer Hatchery and they pack really well, and hatched.

The airline flights to hear could be the reason for the poor hatch rate, but none knew how to pack well so got a big mess that was all over any potential fertile eggs.

Seems that buying eggs would result in lots or roosters.

You can look at their site and choose the eggs or chicks.

I will have 25 chicks(all brown egg variety), their choice coming May 4,2020.

And I ordered 3 rooster chicks. Something like $108 shipped.

A lot of people buy hatching eggs so that their children can see them hatch and learn.

I know but ....theres a Lot of variables that have to go right to get Shipped eggs to hatch
If you get your own eggs either out of your own chickens or buy them locally then 1/2 of the bad variables can be taken away.

Ive just had friends that tried and like mentioned ^^^ above got scrambled eggs

Many rare breeds can't be found at a hatchery. Also if you care about showing or quality that hatchery crap just won't cut it. Yes, I am a chicken snob.

Chicken came first if you believe in the Creator. Egg if you're an evolutionist.
