Every manufacturer and every gun magazine is flush with 6.5 Creedmore recommendations. We'll I am not drinking the punch. I have a .243, 25-06., and 7mm-08. Contender pistol and carbine in 7-30W. Can't find a home for a 6.5. Also have 270, 280, and 7mm-mag, plus several 30 cal. Tell me what the 6.5 will do for me? When I was younger I had an itch for a 6.5-30-06 and a 6.5-284, but recovered. All I want at my advanced age is lightweight and low recoil. I shoot my deer in the neck or head so I do not need a lot of rifle.

Don't have a black rifle either. Gave mine back to Uncle Sam.

If I had unlimited funds, I'd probably buy one.

but I don't have unlimited funds, and I think my .308 will do everything I ask of it.

I have no desire for one. But you need people buying them so they sell or trade in the stuff I like to buy.

My .308 does everything I ask of it too, surely beyond my eyesight. Last deer I killed was 210 yds. through the neck and on the deck.

Honestly I shoot an air rifle, fairly high power, more than anything else now. Keep the yard cleaned up as much as possible.

I don't see me spending money on another rifle as I simply don't need it.

Keep your boots dry and your powder too.

I remember when a fur check was reality.....now I'm just trapping for the love of it.

Best Regards,

JT

I have a Ruger 6.5 Creedmore it is a great shooting rifle, with any rifle it is only as good as the person aiming it!

I have that as well in a pre 64 Winchester model 70 that my dad bought new in 1960 and she still gets the job done just fine

Actually the "real" 6.5 would be the 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser.

I have one in an Ar10 platform because you can't have to many guns and because they don't want us to have any. Shoots very nice I might add.

Just the name " creedmore" peeves me off.
Ain't gonna do a dang thing a .243- 270- 30-06 won't do!!

I have a tikka t3 in a 6.5 creedmore and ive got nothing bad to say about it. If you want a gun in that caliber or close to it there is nothing wrong with it. Some rounds are popular for a reason...some arent... i think this one can back itself up.
