Late fawns that is. This picture was taken on November 24th. I have noticed more of them since the bad drought years starting back in 2010. ?????? My area is still in severe drought.
Sit on your horse on top of a ridge, look out across the country and tell me there is no God.

I think the drought of 2011 changed a lot of things dealing with wildlife...
Our does got out of sink on breeding times... I saw a buck chasing a doe last week...
Some breed real early, some later... a lot later..
Cottontails are a rare sight around here now, use to see them all the time...
rats have made a come back, durn it... they are everywhere...
and there isn't as many rattlers, but that may not be such a bad thing...
Good Luck and God Bless you and yours,
bulletbox, TEXAS
Even sheep are smart enough to shade up when it gets over 100....

Might be just nature doing what ever she can to make as many babies as she can. Give it a bad winter and all those early fawn will be gone---I think--in my opinion

Cedar Hacker there is basically no risk in late season births around here. Last month I tripped on baby coon (barely weaning sized)
