Very dangerous day out here. High winds and temps dropping sharply with full whiteout.

Was 28 F at midnight last and -3 at noon today going to -20 later. Winds 30 and gusting much stronger.

11 below here, up on the border. No wind yet.

Supposed to be -19 here tonight. Tomorrow's winds 15-20 mph gusting to 40. But, warming into the +30s by Sunday for a couple days.

Headed down to look at cat sets today turned around and went home could not see 30 yards In front of me on the State Hwy idea conditions for a head on .

If you put a glass of water outside and the temperature is 34* with a wind chill of 27* does the water freeze?

That wind slows a little bit when it hits our forest zone, and a bit of blowing snow stops there too. It's good for if you like moisture later, lol.

If the fields have a little stubble it was not bad, if they are snow cover already it was a wall of white I took the side roads home as the highway was so open it was very dangerous.

Wind just kicked up here about thirty minutes ago. Flat howling out there now. Not supposed to last too long here, should blow itself out by midnite. Lucky us, it snowed a heavy slushy snow all day, and it is heavy enough that it ain't moving with this wind. Just supposed to get to five for a low tonight.
