Of course. Is there anybody who doesn't?
In particular otters handle getting hit and rarely are significantly damaged. Back in the day there would be skid marks when somebody found a nice roadhit coon.
The better question is this: You've borrowed your wife's nice late model sedan...nice looking roadhit critter....do you dare?

Would you drive past a $20.00 I say that to my wife all the time. She has started saying it now... like I’m going to leave money sitting right there on the road...

I wouldn't walk past money on the sidewalk, why drive past it on a roadway. My best was a coyote that got hit by car in front of me and it brought me an extra 70 in my fur check. I only pick up from roads I travel frequently so I don't want up losing lunch when I stop to check it out.
Wish I had more time to trap....

I pick em up, and I'm not the only one. I drive 40 miles to work, and I see tons of roadkill coon on the way to work. Starting November 1st, though, they all seem to disappear. Gotta be quick if you wanna get em. And yes, they can be pretty disgusting on the inside. Just don't breathe through your nose, and be ready to scrape poop of the hide.

I picked up 3 coon this year. 1 I ended up tossing the other two were fine. One had a broken skull in a bunch of places and made skinning the head harder but not too bad. The other was just jellied like when you hip snare a coyote. I picked up 12 deer this year but just for wolf bait and my own freezer

I once put a roadkill deer in the back of our minivan with the wife and kids with me. My awesome wife even helped me load it up!!

I wont drive past a $20 on the road
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.
