Because they want to. I wanted to help my wife with an early spring house cleaning. So I wanted someone to come in and help clean and organize the house the way she wants it.
BIG MISTAKE on my part. She goes ballistic and says her and her friend (which has a broken foot at this time) will do it. And she doesn't want anyone to see the mess as she calls it.
I said forget it, and went to bed after a 12 hour shift last night. I try and help, but working full time and operating a side business plus the honey do list when I have free time is tough.
So, when I awoke this evening to get ready for work, I get the cold shoulder. I have the weekend off, so I'm thinking maybe it's safer staying in my workshop and man cave.

The wife left out the vacuum next to my recliner so I ended up kicking it in the dark so I asked it was there. She said it was for me to vacuum the floor. I’m like OK so a few days later I put the Pledge and dust rag in front of the TV, that’s when the fight started.

What can I do to help?" No matter what she says, as soon as she starts to talk, interrupt her and say " hey baby. The house is messy, sure. But you know what? The beds not made, , so what do you say we go tangle up the sheets so more, and then we can talk more about how I can help." Works every time

My Dad said that men die sooner because when they retire they stop working while a woman continues the daily routine of cooking snd cleaning. Makes sense.

Let me give you a example of how marriage works after a while. Today being Valentines Day the wife is up and never said a word just going about her business like usual. She knows it’s Valentines Day but wants to see if I remembered the reasoning behind that if I did forget she gets a 100 complaining points for the next time she is mad at me. LOL

So the game becomes more important then the day itself after a while, you better hope your wife remains your best friend and learn you should learn how the game is played or just start repeating the words, “yes dear” over and over. LOL

Can I give you all a tip from years of experience? The proper words to say to the wife in any situation is "you're right"
