That's right! I had forgotten all about parvo. Saw that happen several times here in different dog yards

May pay a titch more for meat this way but you get hamburgers that don't shrink to half there original size when cooking them and a lot better taste.

Well said.

I don't care how nice the hand soap smells, you should never walk out of the restroom sniffing your fingers.

I never buy meat from Wally World the wife did long ago and it tasted like preservatives real nasty. They have no butchers that handle the meat it comes prepackaged and treated to sit for long periods of time and look fresh. sick

What I would like to know , why can't we process our chicken here? How can it be cheaper.

This China thing happens I won't buy anymore. I can't figure out how its cheaper to ship birds from s.mo, ar, la, ok to china, dress them and ship them back, cheaper than paying those poverty stricken americans and mexicans to do it here at home.

How are they supposed to slaughter the Chicken and pigs, freeze the whole carcass so that it can be shipped to China; then thaw it out for processing AND then refreeze it for the shipping back to the USA ? Don't like all that Freeze , thaw and refreeze again...

Then , there is the shipping time..
China Shipping follows Shanghai Port, Ningbo Port, Los Angeles Port with its own container container vessels. The transit time is around 21 days.

Three weeks just to get to China. Month and a half round trip. another 2 days total, to load and unload the ship. and who knows how long to thaw, process and refreeze all that meat.

All the while NO USDA Inspectors on site in China.

Because no one wants to work if you give them free stuff for not working.

It’s not cheaper for us look at LaCrosse boots they moved out of WI to save money their boots are made cheaper and cost a lot more then before.

I got a antibiotic a few years ago made in the US $97.00 for a less then 2 oz, the same size refill was made in China it cost $97.00 also so who is saving really not the working man.

IRAs and stocks have been doing great for the last 3 administrations grain and cattle markets anemic. Chickens going overseas possibly is no more migrate workers to do the dirty work that was done in US processing plants.

The stock market crashed in 2008 during George W. Bush's administration, within a very obvious 3 administrations. Please explain how you possibly think that is doing great.

I know the translator for the Smithfield-Shuanghui International meat deal. Shuanghui was famous in China for selling low cost meats equivalent to our hotdogs. They wanted to be able to sell higher end food where there was a greater profit. So, they bought Smithfield. The product transfer was one way: from the US to China.

Interestingly enough, they tried to sell the Chinese public on the idea that Shuanghui was now producing a better quality. But the Chinese public didn’t believe the new brightly colored packaging or labeling. I think they now are able to sell Smithfield processed meats only under the Smithfield name because the Chinese see American food manufacturers/processors as providing a better, safer product.
