A lot of the chicken will likely be completely Chinese. It will only exist on paper in the US before it is sent here from China, because they can grow it there cheaper too.

Supposedly the trade deal is all done and ready to go but most of the details are not public and also none have been passed by the respective legislative houses in Mexico, Canada or China. There is currently a hefty tariff on some of our poultry products but yes the exporting of whole slaughtered chickens to China may improve the poultry markets over time. Leave it to the USA to not process here and add the value or jobs here. Sure it will cost more but I guess food safety and quality control come far down the line to low cost. Especially if the major market for much of the chicken is nuggets and other bits and pieces.

As far as China being a stalwart of public safety one only has to look at what is happening right now over there. Does anyone really believe their #'s in regards to how many are infected or died daily?? They needed a hospital so bad they built one in days, but the number of sick people at that time was not all that great, supposedly. Doctor who was the whistleblower, dead. Coverup bar none.

And don't forget you guys as their beloved Chairman said: CHINA FIRST

I believe jobs need to be here first but the other thing is, what person says hey I want to slaughter chickens for a job? Who do you think is gonna take that job? Not the current high school or college student! Its sad. Cant even get people into the trades.
