"Lying to trappers" has been standard operating procedure since I started shipping to them in '96. Nothing new there.

I have been told that the left over fur at NAFA will be sold (offered for sale?) at the FHA auction the end of March which MIGHT be held at the NAFA building in Toronto. Details of the joint sale are being worked out,
The shippers will receive the full value of what the pelts bring except for the standard NAFA commissions, which will go the law firm Handling the reorganization. The check will be issued by the trustee, not NAFA.
The courts have ruled that all pelts held at NAFA belong to the shippers and not being held as collateral against the NAFA debt. Nancy I know you are knowledgeable about auction houses but They sold my cats in late November and I have seen nothing. I was also told that FHA is leaning towards not selling those furs for NAFA. Carrying water for NAFA is shameful if anyone does it. What they have done is a crime. If they were here in the US they would have been charged by now for writing bad checks. If you read the statement carefully they say they are paying down debt at the bank with our fur money. I am not a lawyer but that is how I read it. LLL

Um NAFA is charging commission. Would they honor the wild fur shippers council's 2% deduct on that? They have sold anything they could already. LLL

Deloitte is more of a business consulting firm. Anything NAFA does has to have their approval and the courts approval. NAFA is no longer running NAFA, Deloitte and the court are running the company and selling company assets to pay off the debtors.
