I must be a sissy too, I have some for my MB 750's and was real glad when I got an ungloved left hand in one this year. I was able to get the trap off pretty fast while working on my vocabulary! Working on my vocabulary??!! LMAO! Not laughing at you, just your quote. I'm sure that wasn't a good time.
WISH I HAD MORE TIME TO TRAP!

I have set them over my knee but it is tough. Set them on the ground and use a knee to keep them open, nothing to it. It's even tougher when you're short chained to a drowning slide in quick sand- I use them all the time.

LOL!!!! Man I’d be working on my vocabulary too! I got my left pinky caught in a Duke #3 a couple years ago and I was nearly puking cause it hurt so bad! The jaws caught me right where the lever pushes up on them. Hurts just thinking about it lol! Pulled my traps the next day cause I was too scared to get it caught again lol.

How are you guys setting these bridger special #5 coil springs? And please don’t tell me you’re setting them by hand cause that ain’t working for me! What kind of girly trappers are they turning out up there in Manly Manitoba these days. Any real he-man USA trapper worth his salt can set those traps by hand without help from a knee, the ground, and any sort of sissy setting tool. No wonder the United States beat your arses in "War of 1812". w

Lol Never thought I'd see the day that a Northern Canadian Manitoba Trapper would be afraid of the water, won't walk on ice, or was too limp-wristed to set a beaver trap without the aid of accoutrements. Spineless Jellyfish we got here !!! J.P., you'll never be manly enough to join Boco's Canadian militia bush rangers to help defend the honor of Canada in the next War of 1812. w

I just bought my One Hand Setters about a month ago. After using them you will be kicking yourself for not buying them sooner.
Looks like he needs another year;-)

I set the Bridger #5 over my knee if I'm in water on on the ground with my feet if I'm not. I didn't learn how to do that from watching The Bachelor.
