Not laughing at you, just your quote.

I'm sure that wasn't a good time.

It's even tougher when you're short chained to a drowning slide in quick sand- I use them all the time.

People have seen me at convention doing Demo. I have a pair of Sleepy Creek setters that a friend beefed up with a piece of flat steel. on my knee left setter goes under my left leg right setter pushed down with right hand . left hand pushes dog down and lifts pan. there all set just adjust for level

LOL!!!! Man I’d be working on my vocabulary too!

I got my left pinky caught in a Duke #3 a couple years ago and I was nearly puking cause it hurt so bad! The jaws caught me right where the lever pushes up on them. Hurts just thinking about it lol! Pulled my traps the next day cause I was too scared to get it caught again lol.

What kind of girly trappers are they turning out
up there in Manly Manitoba these days.

Any real he-man USA trapper worth his salt can set those
traps by hand without help from a knee, the ground,
and any sort of sissy setting tool.

No wonder the United States beat your arses in "War of 1812". laugh

Never thought I'd see the day that a
Northern Canadian Manitoba Trapper
would be afraid of the water, won't walk on ice,
or was too limp-wristed to set a beaver trap
without the aid of accoutrements. laugh

Spineless Jellyfish we got here !!! laugh

J.P., you'll never be manly enough to
join Boco's Canadian militia bush rangers
to help defend the honor of Canada
in the next War of 1812. laugh

I just bought my One Hand Setters about a month ago. After using them you will be kicking yourself for not buying them sooner.

Looks like he needs another year;-)

I like my one hand setters for setting my Bridger #5 coils. When ya get old, those accoutrements can be handy.

When I was a bit younger I trapped swamps with #4.5 Newhouse. Nothing hard to stand on so I learned to set them by hand. It's been awhile since I've used them but thought I'd see if I still could do it. Used a #114 and had no problems!

I set the Bridger #5 over my knee if I'm in water on on the ground with my feet if I'm not. I didn't learn how to do that from watching The Bachelor.
